What your job will be like:

Are you an electrical engineering student looking for the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment with engineers and designers on the testing, design, and troubleshooting Radio Frequency (RF) system control components and systems? This is the place for you!

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Engineers and Designers to review designs
  • Assist in testing of the radio frequency (RF) system control components (RF and digital receivers)
  • Troubleshoot CEBAF RF systems and provide recommended corrections
  • Assist Engineers to ensure designs and requirements comply with the guidelines of Jefferson Lab Environmental, Health and Safety

Qualifications We Require:

Education:

  • Applicant must be a junior/senior in a four year undergraduate electrical engineering program, enrolled in a local university as a full-time college student with a GPA of 2.5 or better. Proof of full-time student status and copies of transcripts are required (unofficial copies are acceptable, if followed by official transcripts within 2 weeks).
Experience:
  • Background in electronic fabrication and construction.
  • Background in electronics and be familiar with basic electronic test equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in groups and in team environment is essential.
  • Student should have high initiative and be a ""self starter”.


Qualifications We Desire:

  • Enrollment in a computer-related major preferred.
