What your job will be like:

Working under direct to general supervision of the Shipping & Receiving team, you will sort track and deliver mail, packages and equipment to JLAB employees. In this role, you will also perform material handling operations to support events setup and tear-down as needed. Tasks may require the use of hand and power tools and other equipment.

In this role, you will:

  • Daily organizes sorts and delivers material and supplies on site.
  • Delivers equipment and furniture using medium trucks (up to 26,000 lbs GVW) and forklifts.
  • Coordinates meeting setup and break downs with Meeting Services staff and directs others assigned to assist with the work.
  • Transports materials, products, both on site and in local area.
  • Instructs other staff in use of moving tools (hand carts and dollies) and proper techniques for manually moving heavy objects safely.
  • Coordinates direct deliveries of large items with shippers, vendors, shipping & receiving staff, property staff and end users as needed
  • Collects and distributes inter-office mail.
  • Collects office recyclables (ink and toner cartridges, batteries, etc.)
  • Does minor assembly and disassembly of furniture or other office equipment.
  • Moving wooden pallets and crates on site to central disposal location.

Qualifications We Require:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of applicable experience (Education above the minimum may be substituted for experience)
  • Valid Driver's License

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Knowledge of the techniques to safely move equipment and material.,
    • Knowledge of property management, shipping & receiving, and inventory control procedures and documentation requirements.,
    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare accurate and understandable reports
