What your job will be like:
This position provides technical leadership for the laboratory’s Radiation Control (RadCon) programs, including personnel and area dosimetry, radiological training, and radioanalytical laboratory support. The incumbent will oversee regulatory compliance, procedure development, quality assurance audits, and interpretation of radiological data, while mentoring and supervising RadCon staff. The position requires a subject matter expert for evaluating radiological impacts and supporting continuous improvement through corrective actions and lessons learned. Specific assignments include group leader level responsibilities for several program elements of the radiation control program and ability to act as the Radiation Control Manager when needed. The position involves radiologically challenging, time sensitive tasks with regulatory constraints.
