What your job will be like:
As a System Administrator for the ePAS application, you will oversee the ePAS application and maintenance of Jefferson Lab-specific data sets required for continuous functionality. These include data sets for hazards and controls, roles and responsibilities, plant items and isolation points, and the information related to staff qualifications and to lab organization. You will interface with other System Administrators, Subject Matter Experts, Division Safety Officers, and others who provide data for ePAS and ensure data integrity and overall ePAS configuration control.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as System Manager, Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Point of Contact for Computer Planning & Control System (ePAS)
  • Assist in tracking ePAS Project implementation status: upon request provide information for routine status reports on ePAS implementation to senior ES&H staff and senior laboratory staff
  • Assist in maintaining the ePAS web page including an on-going list of FAQs, develop timely content, provide notifications and provide an electronic “help-line” to provide timely answers for questions about ePAS application and function
  • Update the ePAS System functionality as Global system administrator and assist with troubleshooting ePAS application problems
  • Serve as a key point of contact with Jefferson Lab IT Division resources and Accelerator Division IT resources for software support and for ePAS integration
  • Consult with SMEs to ensure that Hazard Identification & Controls (HIRA) remains current and reflects ES&H Manual Chapter 2410T1 requirements and Division Safety Officers and ensure that System Roles and Responsibilities are properly reflected (entered, updated, maintained) in ePAS
  • Serve as a key point of contact to ES&H Department Electrical Safety Staff to ensure that Energy Isolation functions in ePAS are properly integrated in to laboratory LOTO training and performance
  • Use the notification tools within ePAS to help ensure that key information is passed to ePAS users
  • Work with the laboratory lessons learned coordinator to ensure that lessons learned external lessons learned information is incorporated into ePAS and lessons learned information developed in ePAS is available to the coordinator
  • Maintain the ePAS Plant Item Tool dataset used for routine plant item integration with ePAS
  • Review the ePAS temporary plant item entries and coordinate with ePAS user and DSOs to update Plant Item Tool (and associated isolation point references) in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with Accelerator Division IT resources to ensure that the ePAS Plant Item Tool is current with respect to HCO data resources and coordinate with FM&L IT resources to ensure that the ePAS Plaint Item Tool is current with respect to MAXIMO data resources
  • Assist Performance Assurance Office with availability and access to audit features of ePAS
  • Liaise with other laboratories regarding the Jefferson Lab use of ePAS for work planning and control

Provide for training to ePAS users:

  • Serve as a technical point of contact with Prometheus Group (PG) project support staff and coordinate training provided by Prometheus Group either on-site or remotely
  • Evaluate feedback and information from ePAS FAQs and “help-line” questions to determine specific ePAS training needs
  • Work with lab training resources to formulate and develop training courses for focused ePAS training needs
  • Deliver focused training to Jefferson Lab ePAS users to include: New user training and Refresher training

Qualifications We Require:

Education:

  • BS degree in Safety Management, Industrial Safety or Industrial Hygiene

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Able to communicate clearly in writing (e.g. email, memos, explanations, drawings) and explain work to his/her supervisor and others in the group
